Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 in cookieless mode to understand how people use Commonplace. This means:

• No cookies are stored on your device
• Your IP address is anonymized
• We cannot identify individual users
• We only see aggregate usage patterns

Email Subscriptions

If you subscribe to updates, we store:

• Your email address
• When you subscribed

We use Resend to send emails. You can unsubscribe anytime by replying to any email or contacting us.

Feedback & Ratings

When you submit feedback or rate a location:

• Your feedback text is stored securely
• Email is optional and only used for follow-ups
• Ratings are anonymized with a session ID

Data Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary:

• Analytics data: 14 months (Google's default)
• Email subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe
• Feedback: Indefinitely, to improve our product

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from emails
• Contact us with any privacy concerns
